"No person in the United States shall, on the basis of sex, be excluded from participation in, be denied the benefits of, or be subject to discrimination under any educational program or activity receiving Federal financial assistance." —Title IX of the Educational Amendments of 1972
Bucks County Community College (the College) complies with Title IX of the Education Amendments of 1972, which prohibits discrimination (including sexual harassment, sexual misconduct and sexual violence) based on gender in the College's educational programs and activities. Title IX also prohibits retaliation for asserting such claims of discrimination. The College is committed to providing an environment free from gender-based discrimination or harassment.
To ensure compliance with Title IX, the Title IX Coordinator is the primary contact responsible for developing, adopting and/or assuring the dissemination of the College’s nondiscrimination policy and for making the policy available to the College community. In addition, the Executive Director, Human Resources will make the policy available to faculty, staff, the College community, public.
Inquiries concerning the application of these laws to programs and activities of the College or any individual who believes he or she has been discriminated against in violation of the College’s nondiscrimination policy, including sexual harassment or gender discrimination, or who has witnessed discrimination against another, may obtain information and assistance regarding the College’s policies and responsive processes from the following contacts:
